This is what we're going with for the 2025 Rare tokens.
Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously.
Can we all please keep Hanlon's Razor in mind before making a comment?

Multiple Trinkets can be used in a game by the Druid. Thanks.

I see the bear trinket has an average damage of 9 - effectively 10 when the druid holds a rare baton of focus. The highest damage 2H weapon I'm aware of is the Heavy Claymore at 7.2 / a Barbarian using a Berserker Carnage Axe at 7.6.

What is the design intent behind a slotless Druid trinket dealing 39% more damage than a 2H weapon?

Can we just agree to just let this go? Higher end druid's are going to be using Iktomi's and for a lower end player this may be the only polymorph item they have (hence more damage for limited use). They may also not have a rare weapon equipped.

Compare this to a mystc staff which has a 4-9 damage wheel and can be used in every room. Also the mystic staff is going to have good synergy with the changes to wis/int that are just around the corner.

I feel like we already discussed all of this to death last year and the rare tokens are in a good place. I don't think that the mystic staff or the trinket need any changes.

I'd say it's not ideal for a jack of all trades class to have a weapon that out damages all rare weapons and nearly all +2 weapons (it out damages a UR +2 deathcleaver, but falls slightly short of the +2 savage sword).

That's why I asked for the design intent. If the intent is for the Druid to just have outstandingly good weapon options that are better than weapons available to other classes at the same rarity, then there isn't much more to discuss.

Get back to me when the Deathcleaver can only be used in one room.

Also the comp for a player that is using Deathcleaver or Savage Sword is Iktomi's/Shaman’s Greater Necklace and not the trinket. Now if Druid's start to get more UR polymorph options this could change.

The Comp for a UR (+2 Deathcleaver or +2 Savage Sword) is a relic or legendary? That's an interesting take, how did you get there?

Thanks, Jeff! I'm really glad future Druids won't be restricted to one polymorph room per Dungeon. The Trinket of Trollform can be used in one room per game, but it looks like this one can be used in every room, and I'm glad Druids won't be restricted to just one Trinket per Dungeon. Hopefully there will be some different ones to choose from in the future, maybe with lower damage wheels but fun abilities.

I feel like we are stuck in a time loop where we keep having the same conversation.

Because the only current URs that allow polymporh, require spell slots to be spent, so they are not good comp's to UR weapons that you just get to keep swinging in every room (current is a stretch here: Shaman’s Belt is from 2019, and Coronet of the Arch-Druid is from 2009).

Like I said in my post if we get more UR options for Druids, then Iktomi's/Shaman’s Greater Necklace might not be the comp any more. But right now it is either limited use items, or those.

But hey, new class cards are on the way. Why don't we wait for them instead of arguing over an item that is designed for new(er) players?

Time to move on.

Because items made now will hang around forever. Instead of making a broken, no comprise Druid rare weapon that is dramatically better than any other rare weapon, and most other UR weapons ever printed, better to print something more in line with other weapons until we know the results of the class redesign. A trinket with average 4.5 damage wheel ends up the same power level as a +1 bliss hammer when the Druid is also holding a baton of focus. Worst case the class resign happens and the trinket ends up as mulch.

Limited use... limited use... limited use... for the players this is designed for they will use it once. This is not a rare weapon... this is not a rare weapon... this is not a rare weapon.

Trinket of Bearform
I would recommend adding (1/game) and (slotless) to it so it matches Trinket of Trollform. This will primarily be used by newer players and they might not know to check tokendb.com.
